Биография

Alice Mary is a musician living in East London who makes sumptuous, shimmering indie pop music. From messing around with a four-track tape recorder aged 14 to studying classical music and producing techno, Alice has created a vast musical world centered around her ethereal and sultry vocal style, and intricate guitar playing. Alice’s latest self-produced songs, Too Much, Mystery, Surgeon and Wrong, came to life in several bedrooms, a shipping container by the Thames and a warehouse in Haringey. A mix of pristine pop production and introspective lyrics, they deal with themes of sex and anxiety, the oldest living things, self-harm, and struggling to hold too many things at once, all treated with Alice’s distinctive brand of honesty and dark humour. This year her songs have been championed by BBC Introducing, Highclouds, Get In Her Ears and Loud Women, and featured on playlists by Dummy, Crack In The Road, and LeFuturewave. Her first EP, I Am Here, had support from BBC 6 Music, Clash, and Gigslutz, and she was featured as one of Richer Unsigned’s Artists Of The Week. Alice has performed live across London at The Green Note, The Ritzy and The Amersham Arms, and in Paris at Supersonic and Le Pop Up Du Label.
