Featured on a number of editorial playlists across different streaming platforms—GLOW, GLOW Italia, la mia testa:, Sweat., helium, futurototale on Spotify, and "Glitch" on Apple Music, to name a few—Rome-born non-binary producer, singer, songwriter and engineer Yumeaki (they/she) has never been afraid to experiment and expand their boundaries—and in multiple different languages. Raised on mainstream pop and dance music, with tracks like Clownery and their side project ASOKO, as well as collaborations with a plethora of LGBTQIA+ artists, Yumeaki is such a versatile performer that it would be impossible to box them into a single category. Influenced by Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, Yumeaki lists SOPHIE, A. G. Cook, Danny L Harle, PC Music and Yasutaka Nakata as immediate sources of inspiration for their hyperpop era, where they mix Y2K nostalgia with forward-thinking production and a tongue-in-cheek twist, as exemplified by Offline—a playful tune with refreshing vibes and an electrifying, chill and inventive musical character—and their later singles 24/7 and I Don't Care (You Don't Deserve Me)—rave-ready tunes that veer between Eurodance and hardstyle, where migraine-inducing, glowing sounds are combined with saccharine melodies and a surreal sense of humor.
