Combining influences from 90s emo and dreampop, Goodnight Moonlight from Rotterdam explore self-doubt and mortality through slice-of-life lyrical content. After several EP’s including 2015’s ‘Mountain Boy’ Rotterdam based bedroom producer Jasper Boogaard acquired a live band. As a full-fledged band, the jangly dreampop outfit played support slots for TOPS, Sunflower Bean and Kikagaku Moyo amongst others. They recorded 12” EP ‘Letters to Japan’ at the Schenk Studio in Amsterdam, released September 28th through Coaster Records. After a string of live shows supporting Letters to Japan, the band went back to the drawing board for new material. With songwriting influences from their emo contemporaries, while maintaining parts of their sounds rooted in dreampop and 90s indie-rock, their new EP 'Better Person' is the first sign of a new direction for the ever-evolving band. After 6 years, the band disbanded in 2020.
