Deer hoof tracks in mud They lead me to nowhere and Everywhere all at once Through the fields of grass That sway like a dancer Whose song is the drought and the flood Course through skin like blood Rip round the highways and Dip through the valleys of moon Gibbous not quite full Out in the daytime to witness the season All clad in springs embrace Dotted in flowers and Drenched in the greenest of green Sun lights on my face Thousands of shadows all Tangled like brambles It's clear my great escape Is here in the country Where I should be buried The pale blue azure sky Is deep as an ocean Reflecting my thoughts back through time As the clouds play games The birds are singing their Cherry wine sweet symphonies Mindless of all prayers They rejoice in the bounty and Dip their wings into the streams Silver white and clean Washed over boulders of Various colors and size Hey there's three in line I cross the stone bridge and Into the cracks of my mind
