With a slow-burn, introspective sound; Echotide are an Australian cinematic/post rock three piece with a dynamic songcraft approach, ranging from delicate and minimalist ambient to an all-encompassing wall-of-sound. 
 An entirely instrumental approach to song craft affords the band ample room to blaze their own trail, writing intricate rock music with a diverse musical aesthetic. The group's sonic palette shifts effortlessly from uplifting post rock and delicate shoegaze to ambient, symphonic, Americana dirges, heavy metal, drone and film music. 
 Comprising keyboardist Matthew Martin, drummer Samuel Mead and guitarist/multi instrumentalist Michael Gagen, Echotide’s music is dynamic, colourful and vast in scope. 
 Their debut album "as our floodlights gave way to dawn" and sophomore album "Into The Half Light" both garnered support from the global post rock community, with the second album seeing the release of a video clip for the track "her back to the sun". Live shows have seen the group support Australian post rock heavy-weights sleepmakeswaves and Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving. Michael also performs with Australian group hazards of swimming naked. 
 Echotide are currently working on new material.
