Anica Russo is a 22-year-old, international pop artist and songwriter with roots in both Croatia and Italy and is based in Berlin, Germany. She began playing guitar at the age of 4 and started performing solo gigs at a young age. At 18, she signed her first major record deal and quickly entered the charts with her hit single "REBEL." In late 2020, Anica launched her independent project "Woke Up Dreaming" and gained over 120,000 followers and millions of views on social media. She has supported artists such as Alan Walker, Alex Aiono, and Zoe Wees, and serves as an ambassador for the German mental health organization "Jugend Notmail", promoting hope and belonging within her community. During the pandemic, Anica has reinvented herself as a mysterious dark pop artist with a deeply embedded message of self-empowerment, tackling important topics like belief and mental health. Anica Russo is a strong contestant for the German EUROVISION SONG CONTEST finals “Unser Lied für Liverpool” with her new dark-pop ballad “Once Upon a Dream”. The song celebrates determination and resilience in the face of adversity, and emphasizes the importance of perseverance and hope in achieving one's goals
