Miriam Christine is a renowned Brazilian-Maltese singer/songwriter who has had an extensive career in the music industry. Born in Brazil and raised in Gozo, her musical style reflects her upbringing and experiences, which are both dynamic and diverse. Among her many achievements and awards include winning the Malta Song for Europe award in 1996 for the song In a Woman's Heart at the age of 17. The song then went on to gain both her and Malta 10th place in the Eurovision Song Contest, propelling her career in the music industry to a number of achievements, including a release of an album close to heart, that being Little Zee, and then winning the Malta Hit Song Contest in 2018 with the song 'Alone Today'. After taking a short hiatus from the industry in order to focus on her family, she made her return in 2019, with Bi Ftit Kliem, which was then followed by Mill-Għatba 'L Ġew as lead singles off the album, Dil-Mara, an album she describes as a deeply moving personal experience. Since then, she has also published the title track of the album as a single, Dil-Mara as well as Kuraġġ, to give people courage to get through the toughest of times. Prior to the album launch, she was invited to perform at the 2019 edition of Malta Pride, and thought it would be rather special to release a special remix of In a Woman's Heart just for the occasion. It went down like a storm! It reached the top 20 of the dance charts in Europe, and South America.
