A Shark Among Us is a melodic hardcore band that was formed in the South Bay region of Los Angeles, CA in 2012. Blending elements of heavy and melodic influences, ASAU offers momentous riffing and emotionally driven lyrics to bring forth an unforgettable take on the genre. Over the years, ASAU has shared the stage with many prominent outfits within the genre including the likes of No Bragging Rights, Sworn In, Being As An Ocean, Capsize, and To The Wind. With the band’s 2017 EP release Dolor (produced by Glory to the Victor’s Charles Ruiz), ASAU continues to offer heart pounding breakdowns, intense melodic guitar work, and dark lyrical overtones that bring to life the pain and angst of the collective.
