Expert music educators, musicians, and composers, Susie Davies-Splitter and Phil Splitter have been working and performing together as part of 'Welcome to Music' for more than 30 years. Susie and Phil’s vision is to help make teaching and learning music easy and fun and enrich peoples’ lives with the joy of music. They have developed the very popular and award winning 'Welcome to Music' Series of original, traditional, jazz and world music songs, activities, teacher books, ukulele and recorder programs, musicals, story books and choral range which is enjoyed extensively by teachers, parents and children of all ages throughout Australia and around the world. They have composed hundreds of fun, humorous, engaging, funky and inspiring songs that has the child at the heart of the experience encouraging them to be creative and expressive. The music is especially written in a range of styles with appropriate lyrics and keys for children to sing in and excellent singing models using a multi modal and whole body approach. Over the years, Susie and Phil have won many songwriting awards for their original songs as part of the Australian Songwriting Association and the Unisong International songwriting contest.
