Биография

I am a jazz vocalist and composer, living creatively through jazz and intuition. I'm a Dutch Indonesian immigrant from the wilds of Northern Ontario, Canada. Free jazz, sound poetry, punk and dreamwork colour my creative process. I live in Montreal with my husband, drummer composer Michel Lambert and our two sons, and run the Jazz from Rant label with over 60 recordings. Our sons, van garden and beamer! have their own label, Friday Night Inn for abstract hip hop and Montreal trap. I write about my creative process and my very unique musical path regularly on my blog at my website jeannettelambert.com.
