Pio Hartnett is an alternative singer-songwriter from Clifden, Ireland. In 2018 he moved to Dublin, and studied music at BIMM Dublin. He teamed up with Dublin producer Zak Higgins in 2021, while also putting in hours as a songwriter, eventually gaining writing credits for artists from Ireland all the way to Japan. On his birthday, on the 14th January 2022, he released ‘Roses’. The single received support and acclaim from Irish outlets including Golden Plec, Hot Press, and Lost in the Manor, and radio play on over 20 radio stations. This was followed by singles 'Grand Prix' in April, ‘Broadway' in July, and ‘Will you be back before dark?’ in February 2023; all receiving acclaim and national airplay. He was selected to perform at the 2021/22 Winterfest for Guinness Storehouse, and has since been steadily developing a reputation for a stunning live act, including packed performances across Dublin (IE) at The Grand Social for Breaking Sound in July 2022, in the Workman’s Cellar supporting Gavin Fox in September 2022, and an intimate set to a full house at the Crowbar in Dec 2022. His debut EP, 'Cargo', now available, was launched at The Workman’s Club - Main Room, Dublin on 18 April, to a maximum capacity in the popular venue. "Gut wrenching yet positive."
