Биография
Alan Power is not your usual artist. Like a character plucked from Phoenix Nights, he arrived seemingly from nowhere, fully-formed in 2019 with the release of his debut single ‘Prodigal Son’. Mixing country music, folk and post-punk with a dry sense of humour that results in an entertaining and skilful balance of earnest and silly, is where Alan Power comes into his own, having previously felt as though he’s been too much of one and not enough of the other. Power’s lauded 2020 album “Songs To Break America” received great coverage from the likes of DIY, Dork, Gigwise and Vents. Lead album track “Breathe in, Breathe out” was released separately with Power donating the proceeds to Dorothy House, a charity which offers end of life care to patients and support for their families. Before that came the ambitiously titled debut album “Greatest Hits Vol 1” in 2019. 2022 will see Alan Power enter into his next era and it promises to be his most intriguing yet. His live shows are as unpredictable as the music, no two shows are the same. Having recently sold out the Servants Jazz Quarters and Laylows, he preps for a very special show to celebrate the album release (details to be announced soon). Over the past few years Power has shared the stage with The Vaccines, Spector, Matt Maltese, Jack Ladder, Nick Allbrook and many others.
