Sound Of Status are a four-piece rock band from Sweden. They formed in 2015 as a Status Quo tribute band. Today their show comprises a mix of Status Quo songs from the classic 70s Quo era plus songs from their debut, all-original, album Rough Business, on whose strong influences of Status Quo and AC/DC, alongside other 70s hard rock disciples such as Airbourne, can be heard. Sound of Status’s breakthrough in the UK came at the Status Quo Fan Club Convention in 2017 where their powerful and breath-taking performance was well received by an enthusiastic Quo audience. They now have a record contract with Barrel And Squidger Records and they appeared on ‘Christmas Eve (Nanana)’, the label’s tribute track to the late Rick Parfitt, which entered the UK Official Physical Singles Chart at the #2 position in December 2017. A second Sound Of Status album is planned and they are now embarking on their first UK tour. ``When we play live we give 100% and make sure the audience leaves with a smile on their faces and forgets about the hard stuff in life for a bit.
