Geron Hoy is a songwriter from Philadelphia. His lifelong wanderlust has taken him from his birthplace on the border of Mexico, to such places as New Orleans, Arizona, Philadelphia and New York City, all the while gigging, recording and honing his craft. Making his way slowly from South to North, his music has been inspired by the diverse people, places and experiences that have shaped him and his musical aesthetic. His roots run deep in Americana, folk, blues and country, and his assertive guitar stylings and cathartic vocals make him immediately distinguishable. Whether live or in the studio, he delivers raw, powerful performances with intensity and emotional abandon. Lyrically, he gravitates towards storytelling and is drawn to themes of longing and loss, self reflection, transcendence and a yearning for deeper truths.
