Having grown up around Old Soul/Funk music, Ms. Thandi possesses a trove of creative influences which compliment her ever-evolving sound and style. Ms. Thandi’s initial releases, ‘On The Table’ (2019) and ‘HUNNY’ (2020), solidified her as one of the most promising singer/songwriters in Australia’s R&B realm. In 2020, Ms. Thandi was one of fifty Australian feature artists selected to showcase their music at BIGSOUND. This coincided with her latest solo release, ‘The Eyes’ (2020) which illuminated her affection for love songs, a staple of her artistic direction. Ms. Thandi proves her ability to effortlessly switch up her flow while staying true to her unique flavour in features on collaborative tracks including ‘DEMONS’ (JONCE, 2020), and ‘H.G.S.’ (Arona Mane, 2021). Persisting through the challenges of a pandemic, Ms. Thandi continued to grace the stage with her captivating performance throughout 2020 and 2021. Ms. Thandi’s accolades have further included being 13th most played artist on Triple J Unearthed Radio in 2020, being a part of Samsung’s Olympic ‘Performance Enhancing Music’ Campaign in 2021, and her nomination for Acclaim Mag’s 2022 All-Stars. Ms. Thandi continues to finesse her craft with new collaborators, ideas, and endeavours, taking the lead on the creative direction of her projects with her distinct style.
