In May 2014, singer/guitarist Mike McCann walked away from a six figure job and corporate lifestyle to become an independent rock artist. Initially forming Raven Tree as a solo project, it has since become a rock and roll powerhouse, featuring Phoenix Johnson (Marzy Maddox) on bass, and Karras Johnson on drums. We released our debut album in April 2015, and our second album (Devil’s Red Mistress) in Oct 2017. Devil's Red Mistress' title track, lead single and video were released in August 2017 followed by our hard rock remake of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition”in September 2017. Our Veteran's awareness video "Redemption" was debuted via AXS.com in January 2018, and in June 2018 we were signed to Manta Ray Records. Our music is REAL, no autotune or ProTool’d production is involved. Our albums are not collections of sound-alike singles, but deliberately crafted songs combined to create albums which 100% represent the band. We have been described as a combination of Stone Temple Pilots, Van Halen and Alice In Chains with influences of Cream and Hendrix. From The National Sylvan Theatre in Washington, D.C. to the prestigious Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, Raven Tree have become one of the must-see bands in the Mid-Atlantic music scene!
