Биография
Their first YouTube post, a cover version of Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” played with cottage cheese containers, caught fire and threw the trio Erato into the music business overnight in October 2011. The clip is viewed over 5 million times and was featured on Jay Leno’s “The Tonight Show”. This lead them to be invited to sing on seven tracks on American indie band Passion Pit’s album “Gossamer”, they were noticed by Perez Hilton and well written about in the British Guardian. Erato do acoustic cover versions of well know pop hits, with two (or more) piece harmonies. Adele’s “Hello”, ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”, Britney Spears’ “Till The World Ends” and Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Boxer” are among their most popular tracks. But Erato also write their own material, and their debut album was released in 2014. During 2015, the trio Erato became a duo, and in 2017 they released a cover of Gillian Welch’s “Annabelle” as a soundtrack accompanying the best-selling Swedish crime novel by the same name. 2018 saw the release of Backstreet Boys’ “As Long As You Love Me” and early 2019 all Erato’s cover versions were compiled on the album “Covers”, including the new recording of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me). The classic winter song “Let It Snow” followed in November.
