Биография

Porcelain id is the moniker of Rwandan-born Hubert Tuyishime (1998°). Operating a poetic and idiosyncratic songwriting-style. Sampling maverick musicians like Destroyer, Daniel Johnston or David Bowie. Cited for their powerful voice. 
 In 2022 the EP "REPRISE” was released under Unday Records. A rework of the home-recorded "MANGO" with a new additional single “Vlaanderen” (Flanders). A seemingly premature revision-ep from an artist just beginning. Encapsulating perfectly their offbeat tendencies both in English and Dutch this time around. The original material featured contemporaries from the Antwerp art and music scene. Among them were electronic artist HOFFMAN, poet Sesa "Sefora" Sam and graphic design-duo Studio Addergebroed. 
 In 2021 they were among the laureates of Soundtrack. The national competition organized by Belgium's most prominent music venues. Accompanied by a noteworthy description by Meskerem Mees: "Very developed sound for someone as young as I. Which means I couldn't do it myself" (she could). 
 Having recorded their first demos at a young age during prolonged hospitalizations and later on fronting a high school band —the singer's background is deeply embedded but not fixed in both classic pop and a lofi-sensibility that always stuck in their music.
