About 12 year ago, Andrés Costureras surprised everyone releasing a trilogy of albums about mental health. The second chapter, Dormihcum (named after a sleeping pill this time ) released in 2013 by Log Lady Records, Pshycotic Beats gets rid of instrumentals and dares to sing and this is the first surprise. The spirits of David Bowie, Scott Walker, David Sylvian and Nick Cave seem to posses a voice which sounds emotional, passionate and beautiful. The songs are the second surprise, sometimes they make us cry and other times invite us to dance, but all of them make us feel inside a fascinating dark world we don´t ever wanna live. Black velvet sounds and soulful lyrics, the perfect match for a powerful music, an electro-opera, a sequel and prequel of others to come. Pshycotic Beats albums are more than a record. It's a journey for the mind, a buried disco in a cold cave sometimes and like in Killer Shangri-lah, one of the highlights of the record sounds like Patsy Cline having a blast singing somewhere at Twin Peaks. That song recently became one of the anthems of KILLING EVE tv show. We’re just saying that you won't regret listening to his beautiful work.
