As Kendra Foster circled the globe with George Clinton & PFunk Allstars and D’Angelo & The Vangaurd, she made a few pit stops along the way—including scooping up 2 Grammys for her work on D’Angelo’s Black Messiah & writing/recording Kendra Foster infused with her heart, thoughts and musical ministry. On the heels of her work co-writing Grammy-winning song, Really Love & Grammy-winning album, Black Messiah w/ D’Angelo, she independently released her solo single Promise to Stay Here & her self-titled album Kendra Foster 2016, which she nurtured & cradled as she collaborated with legendary artists. Her soul-based fusion is peppered with Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Rock, Classical, World, Electronica and Gospel. Songs “Step Into The Light” & "Promise To Stay Here" were featured in “Being Mary Jane” & "High Town". She & King Michael Coy independently released single “Da Da” in fall 2017. She is half of Goldfinger & The Butterfly duo with producer Ray Angry & released their single “Daylight” in fall of 2017. Kendra Foster is releasing an album in 2021 titled “Here”. Kendra is a mentor at the Clive Davis Institute at NYU. She featured in a film by Simone Leigh as apart of her “Loophole of Retreat” exhibit at the Guggenheim in NYC, and she performed in Simone Leigh’s “Medicine” exhibition for “Funk, God, Jazz & Medicine: Black Radical Brooklyn”. Kendra Foster’s 1st album, “Myriadmorphonicbiocorpomelodicrealityshapeshifter,” under a production deal with George Clinton
