Биография
Andrea Marquee is a film, TV and stage actress, singer and songwriter of Brazilian popular music who started her career with the band Heartbreakers. In 1999, she was part of the original Brazilian cast of the musical Rent, by Jonathan Larson, as the character Mimi. In 2000, she released her first solo album, Zumbi, which had big success on the World Music charts. In 2002, she participated in Rede Globo's reality show Fama. By then, she had become one of the most popular performers of a new generation of Brazilian artists. Ably blending traditional references to samba with contemporary electro-pop music, she appealed chiefly to the young but was by no means ignored by older audiences. Other stage musicals that she performed on were Hair, Aida, Cambaio (with music by Chico Buarque and Edu Lobo), Vingança - O Musical, The Snow Queen and Girl from Ipanema - The Bossa Nova Musical. In 2012, she acted and sung in the feature film O Que Se Move (The Moving Creatures), directed by Caetano Gotardo. She was awarded Best Supporting Actress in the X SESI/FIESP Film Award for her performance in the film. She was also part of the acclaimed fantasy film As Boas Maneiras (Good Manners), by Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra, and Todos os Mortos (All the Dead Ones), by Caetano Gotardo and Marco Dutra. In 2020, Andrea launches the series Noturnos, a horror musical series in which she is the protagonist, once more under the direction of Caetano Gotardo and Marco Dutra.
