Andrea Poggio is full of intriguing contradiction. Throughout his music he challenges the traditional, while having a classical Italian air about himself. His musical journey began with Green Like July, a band with whom he recorded three albums, two of which recorded by AJ Mogis in the prestigious ARC Studios in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2017 La Tempesta released "Controluce", his first solo album. Recorded between Milan and New York by Eli Crews, "Controluce" is a lyrical and musical treat for those who appreciate elegant and sensitive narratives of everyday life tied up with original, synthetic sound. In the fall of 2019, Poggio began working on the soundtrack of the film "Onoda" by the French director Arthur Harari. The soundtrack is composed together with Enrico Gabrielli and Sebastiano De Gennaro, as well as the Japanese sound artist Gak Sato and the French musician Olivier Marguerit. The film was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in July 2021, where it opened the section Un Certain Regard. In January 2022, Andrea Poggio begins the recordings of his new album. Recorded between Milano and Bristol by Federico Altamura and Ali Chant, mixed by Ivan Antonio Rossi, the album - titled "Il futuro" - is out on 5 May 2023.
