Heritage are a 9-piece Future Soul/Jazz ensemble based in Leeds, UK. 
Lyrically, the band address personal struggles and triumphs alongside tackling current political and social issues. The powerful vocal hooks and horns elevate these vocal themes, with the tight rhythm section bringing their infectious, danceable grooves that make the lyrical message even stronger. 
The Heritage ‘sound’ is a fusion of multiple subgenres that are relevant in the contemporary UK Jazz scene (Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, UK Garage, Soul, Drum and Bass). 
Heritage released their debut EP Dystopian Land in October 2022, recorded in Yellow Arch Studios, Sheffield. Misty Eyes from the EP has been featured as BBC Introducing Yorkshire’s Track of the Week, spotlighted in Bandcamp’s Weekly Show and has received support from Jazz FM.
