Natlyst is a Danish seven-piece avant-pop orchestra who ignites, releases and disturbs emotions in their mosaic laments consisting of noise guitars, scattered voices, baroque inspiration and intimate lyrics about the human search for connection. The music is born out of lead singer/songwriter Amanda Drew’s honesty and finds its full expression in the meeting between symphonic grandeur and electronic gloom. The songs spring from topics like anxiety, depression, love, loneliness, sex and assault. The many people on the stage and in the music veil the heavy subjects in a special sensation of unity, creating a safe space for the audience to be vulnerable. Natlyst was formed in May 2016. In April 2017 they released their first EP ‘Ti Skridt’ and in March 2019 came their debut-album ‘Modig’ [Courageous]. In 2021 they released their concept album ‘Vemodig’ [Sad] - a dramatic ambient concept album consisting of deconstructed and manipulated stems from their debut album ‘Modig’. Just three months after the release of ‘Vemodig’ they unveil their single ‘Stor Og Stærk’ [Big And Strong] thus beginning the kick-off for their third full-length album ‘Ikaros’ - out April 2022. The album illustrates the narrative of the ultimate manic bliss by realising you are brave and have wings to fly with - and then the inevitable collapse that many courageous people experience in a world that rarely manages to catch them.
