When phrases like, “Powderfinger meets David Gray”, and, “Crowded House on steroids!” are thrown around to describe your work, you know you’re in good company. According to Kristian Jackson these comparisons tell him two things; he writes great melodies, and he’s not afraid to rock. Don’t let those descriptions fool you though, Kristian is an extremely versatile songwriter and performer and is adept at weaving elements of blues and jazz throughout his “pop/rock” compositions. A native of Western Sydney’s, Penrith, NSW, Kristian studied Music at Southern Cross University, LIsmore before moving to Brisbane for the best part of a decade. Kristian has been back living in his hometown for 10 years now and is an outspoken advocate for the promotion of original talent and music in the local area.
