Jason Carlson (Jornt Karel) was born on May 26, 1993 in the dutch village of Oosterlittens. From the age of 8, Jornt received piano lessons and also spent a while at a children's choir. Although Jornt is taught by a classically trained piano teacher, it soon becomes clear that he has a passion for pop music. 
 Jornt quickly learns how to combine singing and playing piano. When Jornt receives recording equipment from his parents, he immediately starts experimenting with recording songs. In addition, Jornt makes more and more covers, which he arranges as his own versions.Recording covers, quickly changed into the writing and recording of his own songs. He wrote lyrics and experimented with producing, and soon he had his own repertoire. He experimented with these songs with various producers and finally found the sound that fits his songs. 
 In the summer of 2015 Jason released his debut single Another Life (Diggy Diggy). The single was “made” on the Dutch radio 538 and was played by several other radio stations around the globe. The track was in the top 40 tip-parade for several weeks and the accompanying music video was recorded in sunny Mallorca (Spain). 
 Jason Carlson creates pop music with an experimental edge, and likes to experiment with cross-overs into another genre’s, but the basis always remains pop music. Jason is praised in reviews for his international sound and his voice is compared to Olly Murs and Justin Timberlake
