The Lightyears explode are an Alternative/ Pop /Punk Rock duo comprising of Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Saurabh Roy and Bassist Shalom Benjamin. Their live act is augmented by Jeremy D’Souza on the Drums and Jishnu “Short Round” Guha on Guitars . The Lightyears Explode write energetic, honest songs with simple Pop structures filtered through their Alternative Rock influences. In 2013, they released their fan favourite ,critically acclaimed Album “The Revenge of Kalicaran” . After a few years Hiatus from recording, they released their EP “Mellow” in 2020 . They are currently finishing work on their Second Full Length Album called “Suburban Prose” set for Release in 2023.
