Биография
Hailing from several different countries, some members of alt/indie rockers Saints of Valory first met as music-obsessed boys years before forming their adulthood band. Vocalist/bassist Gavin Jasper met guitarist Godfrey Thomson in Jasper's native home of Rio de Janeiro while Thomson and his parents were visiting. The two boys practiced guitar and dreamed of being famous musicians, keeping in touch as they grew up in different locales. In 2008 the friends reunited with French drummer Gerard Labou to form Saints of Valory. After some initial interest from record labels, the trio relocated to the Texas home of friend Stephen Buckle to practice for upcoming showcases. Buckle eventually joined on as permanent keyboardist as the group gained momentum and toured more frequently. In late 2010 the group released its debut EP, The Bright Lights, following up just over a year later with second EP Possibilities. They toured constantly and in their off-time worked toward the release of a debut full-length, Into the Deep, recording with White Stripes producer Joe Chiccarelli. In 2013 the band gained some buzz for its cover of New Zealand pop star Lorde's sultry track "Royals." ~ Fred Thomas
