Биография
Contact: beeefband@gmail.com Brought together in 2015 in a basement not unlike most others in the student neighborhood of Allston, MA, Beeef has had plenty of inspiration to draw from within Boston’s rich music scene over the years. The quartet channels the college rock traditions of the ‘80s and ‘90s while balancing infectious hooks, anthemic energy, and pensive meditations on twenty-something existential snags. Both in sound and in message, Beeef’s music feels right at home regardless of time or place. Following the success of their 2017 debut, A Beeef CD, the band released its second full-length in July 2019 titled Bull in the Shade. The album builds upon the foundational sounds to which Beeef came of age, like Built To Spill and Pavement, while exploring new frontiers of indie and pop akin to recent luminaries Real Estate and Parquet Courts. The album also includes Beeef’s first collaboration in “I’m So Sorry,” a duet featuring guest vocals from tremendously talented fellow Bostonian artist Sidney Gish. From sharing bills with the likes of Alvvays, Sheer Mag, and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, to being highlighted by such publications as NPR Music, ALT Citizen, and Post Trash, the band makes tunes meant to be shared. So from Allston to wherever you may be listening, just remember: Beeef loves ya. Press Photo by Andrew Gibson Live Photos by Ben Stas and Corwin Wickersham
