In Ecuador’s Native Kichwa language Wañukta means a “hard blow that takes you to another place”. We mix in the Tonic so it doesn’t hurt. The band brings together two generations of musicians who represent the effervescence of Ecuador’s contemporary music scene. The esthetic of the band is based on a sonorous encounter between Andean tradition and universal vanguard. Wañukta Tonic is a musical tour through the flavors, colors and sounds of a country defined by its eclecticism and diversity.
