Special Generation an American Urban Rnb singing group, Releases a new single called " I Can't Help Myself" due early Feb 2020. The members are Maquet Robinson, Kendrick Washington, Fernando Carter and former members Charles Salter and Maurice Dowdell on specific projects. The group newly signed a distribution deal in 2019 with GiGMusicGroup / Akachi Digital Media and are looking to release their 3rd project Album entitled "Forever SG" later April 1st. The History of SG ; Originally signed to Capitol Records label, they debuted their first song "Love me just for me " which climbed the music charts with a bullet for 21 weeks which peaked at #04 in the country on the RIAA Music Billboard Hot 100 in December 1990, the band followed it up with another mid-tempo Top 10 Hit called "Spark of Love". Special Generation went on in 1992 to release there sophomore album entitled "Butterflies" in which the group recorded hit singles Like "Lift You r Head and Smile ", "Butterflies", "You Can Tie Me Down" along with the Rnb 90's group Troop member Steven Russell whom produced four songs on the album, they also worked with legends like Gerald Levert and Eddie Senior whom wrote ballads entitled " The Right One, "Silly Me Silly You" and "Who makes the choice" along with co writers Joe Little of The Rude Boys.
