Chui is one of the most innovative Croatian instrumental jazz bands from Zagreb that has a rather different approach towards jazz music and regularly experiments with electronics, post-rock, modern dance music, funk and ambient music. Until now they released first, eponymous album in 2012, "The Second Arrival" a year later, "Third Sun From The Stone" was published in 2015 and was declared the best Croatian album of 2015. Fourth album "Chui ovu glazbu" was recorded with the Croatian Radiotelevision Jazz Orchestra in 2017. and won two Porin awards (Croatian Grammy) in 2018 for the best jazz album and best jazz performance. 2019 brought highly anticipated fifth album "Iz kapetanovog dnevnika". Inspired by SF classics, from Star Wars and Star Trek to Moebius comic books, album brings a cast of special guests such as Ink Experiment duo, Druyd, Mangroove and jazz guitarist Zoran Majstorović. Chui is bringing its work to a new level on a new double album ''Zagreb-Berlin'' that celebrates bands 10th anniversary in 2022. The first part of the album consists of new songs created during the hard times that Croatian capital, city of Zagreb went through with striking earthquakes and raging pandemic, and the second part of the album consists of songs composed by Chui as a soundtrack for Walter Ruttmann's documentary Berlin Symphony of the City, which premiered at the opening of the Zagreb Berlinale Special in collaboration with the Croatian Film Association and Goethe Institute in 2019.
