Биография
Conceived in the dank & desolate sub-tropical sweat of Brisbane Australia. Locust Revival began its unwanted life as a goth/darkwave solo project of local music fiend Steven Schnorrer. Writing and recording cold, dark and defeated songs of a foreboding tomorrow, contrasting against the bright relentless heat existing outside. After several years of prolific output, 2022 witnessed Locust Revivals mutation as a live band, recruiting friends and collaborators Kelly Spellmann & Matt Deasy. Following this expansion marked the release of acclaimed EP ‘Your Delusions Are Not Mine’ which was met with international praise, finding its way into Cvlt Nation’s prestigious Top 10 Post-Punk Albums of 2022 - “This album makes me want to dance underground with creatures of the night, which is exactly what I want from a darkwave/post-punk record”. Live favorite and stand alone single ‘Fangs Out’ later released that Halloween stirred further noise. The music video graced the televised airwaves of ABC RAGE, and received further praise & attention from singer/songwriter Sharon Van Etten among others. Currently Locust Revival are destroying fans with their visceral live shows heavily saturated in chaotic melodies, unholy rhythms & nauseating strobes & smoke machines. Locust Revival is set to release ‘Good Grief’ in May 2023, the projects first full length since ‘Partially Here’ in 2020.
