My Jerusalem has been kicking around in some capacity since 2010, with early contributions from Jeff Klein's (singer, guitar, keyboard) revolving door of friends from previous projects, like Gutter Twins and The Twilight Singers, and who had also played in bands like Cursive, Okkervil River and the Polyphonic Spree. The band released their full length album A Little Death in 2016 to rave reviews from outlets like Vice Noisey who praised the LP as, "a dark and tormented affair, but it's also one infused with black humor as well as an infectious sense of emotional defiance." The band has gone on to play shows with Spoon, The Sounds, Eliot Sumner, The Psychedelic Furs and Bush in support of the album. The album features guest contributions from Elle King (on Young Leather), and members of Heartless Bastards, The Black Angels, Swans, and more.
