[L]yrically [O]ver [E]xpectations. That’s the definition of LOE, in Loe Addé, the latter of which is affiliated with his birth name. Born Olalekan Adepegba, in Washington, DC, LOE Addé began rapping as a way to express himself creatively, after being exposed to daily lunch table cyphers in elementary school. Raised by a single mother of two, LOE moved to the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, NY—where he discovered his talent for songwriting and recording. Experimenting with fresh flows, rhyme schemes, and clever wordplay, LOE exceeded his own expectations, when he began taking music seriously in 2017. After journeying to Chicago, the Brooklyn-bred MC relocated back to Maryland. Improving lyrically and mastering his delivery, is how he came up with the acronym by which he’s now named. Forming hip-hop collective Ahk Boy Entertainment, LOE has managed to draw the attention of Maryland area producers and media, with features on The DMV Daily, Respect Mag, and Kazi Magazine, among others. Mixing street smarts with socially conscious talk, LOE looks to expand what he refers to as “map music” to the masses.
