August is half Spanish and half Norwegian, but born and raised in the northern city of Tromsø, Norway. Over the last few years, his focus has been writing and producing music, and the first result of his relentless work was “Shameless” which got playlisted on National radio. After uploading it on NRK Urørt (a website for new and unsigned artists) and receiving their “song of the week” award, August signed with Sony Music Norway. The music of August is fresh, catchy, minimalistic and timely. There is one guy doing everything from vocals to production himself, and the production is sparkeling with traces of both EDM, pop and R’nB’” – NRK Urørt. August is 100% self-driven. He writes, sings, plays and produce his own tracks, and do the visual arts as well. He get his inspiration from artists like Cashmere Cat, MØ and Diplo. (August recently changed his artist name from Oysang to August).
