Rock and Metal music have often embraced dark, introspective, and all-around heavier themes with lyrical topics such as pain and emotional distress, an outlook that stems from the concept of human struggle being universal; a common ground between all people no matter the walk of life. 
 While others choose to embrace and wallow in their sorrows, DONTFEEDTHEBIRDS! takes a different approach. Like a Tootsie Pop, DONTFEEDTHEBIRDS! is a depiction of a sweet outer layer with a meaty center, choosing to wrap serious subject matter in a light hearted package. Blending hard rock, metal, electronic, and pop sensibilities, the band crafts songs that explore the darkness but illustrate light’s power to overcome it. Aggressive metal riffs and ominous ambient passages give way to triumphant choruses laced with sonorous electronics and well crafted hooks, all jam packed into a clean three and a half minutes or less. 
 
The latest single “Tonight” was written during the 2020 pandemic in reference to the feelings of chaos and uncertainty. The song features a pop influenced sound that gives way to soaring vocals, an uplifting chorus, and vulnerable yet triumphant lyrics set against djent style riffs.
