Биография
Gallery was a soft rock band based in Detroit that centered on the talents of lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Jim Gold. Also featuring bassist/vocalist Dennis Kovarik and steel guitarist Cal Freeman, Gallery signed with the Sussex label and issued their debut album, Nice to Be With You, in 1972; it was co-produced by Dennis Coffey of "Scorpio" fame. The sweet title cut became a Top Five smash and the follow-ups -- Mac Davis' "I Believe in Music" and "Big City Miss Ruth Ann" -- both reached the Top 40. For their 1973 follow-up album, Gallery began billing Jim Gold out front and titled the record eponymously; they also fleshed out their studio musician-augmented lineup into an official band, with drummer Danny Brucato and second guitarist Fred DiCenso. However, the album didn't produce any further hits for the group; after one last one-off single, "Love Every Little Thing About You," Gallery disbanded and Gold embarked on a solo career that produced a couple of albums in the late '70s. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
