THE LUST was formed in St. Petersburg 2002 by the guitarist of Russian band DISSECTOR Yan Fedyaev. After recording of the first demo under the name LAST EMBRACE band has got deal with Russian label FONO and released 2004 first full-length album "Tangled" under the name THE LUST. One year later THE LUST has signed a deal with Greece label Sleaszy Rider and released in 2005 in Europe second album "My Dear Emptiness", which was mixed by Christian Schmid at Music Factory in Germany. The album was also licensed by Russian label Irond. The next album “Membrane” was released in summer of 2006 by Sleaszy Rider/EMI and followed in summer 2008 by the European re-release of album "Tangled". At the same time band has recorded songs for its fourth studio album „Decomposition Deluxe“, self-released n 2010. At the beginning of 2010 the limited edition of new album "One Life Ago" with unreleased material was self-released. 2017 the band with the new singer Anna Dust has released conceptual album “Black Dahlia Poem”. New CD-album "Karmalove" was released 2018, together with CD-EP “Dear Diary” and a lot of additional digital stuff. 2019 THE LUST have released on CD the album “Lustration” - the compilation of cover-versions, recorded between 2016-2019, with 3 new tracks. In 2019, the group began work on a new studio album and completed it in the spring of 2020. A release date will be announced later.
