 I’d like to start by thanking you for taking the time to read this & learn a little bit about who I am as an artist. The amount of support I’ve received on this end has been overwhelming & humbling all at the same time, & just know I wouldn’t be anywhere without you! 
 So there’s two main themes as to why I have the name I do, 1. I’m a Cajun born and raised and the first thing you make when you’re cooking a gumbo is the ROUX, and also to remind myself to stick to my ROUXTS and never forget where I came from. Part of my identity is soul music. For as long as I can remember I’ve been writing. I grew up in a smaller town on the bayou in Louisiana and jazz music has always captivated my heart, and I’m very grateful to have been able to be born in the heart of such a huge amount of culture. I started singing at a very young age and found myself gravitating toward instruments once I started taking music more seriously. I wound up teaching myself the piano, guitar, and ukulele, and by the time I knew it I was writing acoustic music! I’m currently based in Tucson, AZ, but I’ve lived in Mississippi, Georgia, and San Francisco, CA. Lyrical content is truly one of the most important things I take into account as I write, and also as a listener. I hope you find that my music resonates with your soul and delivers the message I intend to, and that in all things you do, you do them with an open heart, kindness, and love.🦋
