Биография
Piano Club has defined its signature sound by accumulating external collaborations and productions, crossing patterns and currents, diversifying its geometry et cultivating a singular image. In 2016, the band returns with “Fantasy Walk”! With this third album, the group attempts to transform the conventional into the unexpected by distilling an elixir of modern pop, combination between assumed eighties influences and clever melodies loaded with cosmic obsessions. The harmonies burst on the synthetic layers and chiseled riffs: just like on “Comets”, the epic pop single where Anthony’s voice flies towards the high pitch or on the dancing track “Christine”. Despite a layout as colorful as the satin jackets worn by the band, “Fantasy Walk” is a deep record, subject to questioning. Composed on a very precise calendar (spontaneous writing and composition in the morning, then recording in the afternoon), the album exudes some festive nostalgia while diving headlong towards a mysterious future. The personality’s evolution according to the periods of life (“Crocodiles”, “Everytime”), the experiences and encounters, the joys and sorrows all combine and are reflected by the track “Esther”. As usual, Piano Club created its record from A to Z. The masterpiece “Fantasy Walk” is almost like a handcrafted object, entirely self-produced from home studio to the cover’s design, mostly free hand drawing by the artist Ludi. On stage, Piano Club also challenges itself and expands with a choir. Twelve people now surround the original rock formation. The band is transfigured for live sessions, from feminine voices to percussion: the metamorphosis is on
