(Profile Pic-Bobby far left) The Teemates, were An East Coast 60s band that were heavy weights of the NYC music scene Among the popular bands out of NYC like The Rascals the Vagrants with Lesslie West and others. They disbanded in late 1965 but Bobby carried on with other Bands he formed. 58 Years later he has emerged as an artist to contend with despite his age. I am brought to you on Spotify by Blue Pie Records USA whom I have collaborated with since 2011. Along with our 1965 LP (Where Doo Wah Diddy-and others still receive worldwide following I also bring you a Post Punk release this year 2023 which I discovered on a lost Cassette tape I recorded in 1988. Remastered by legendary Gabe Reeza each track provides an experience to both enlighten listeners about life experiences and in TOM CATS to warning all how easy it is to be lured into drugs and alcohol addiction. (I am now sober 47 years after nearly dying from alcohol abuse) The Teemates supported and performed with notable top 40 artists including: Fats Domino The Ronettes Jackie Wilson The Shangra-Las Jerry Lee Lewis Little Anthony and the Imperials Otis Redding The Temptations The Teemates artists friends included a dynamic lot when playing at the “Metropole Cafe on Broadway” Some of the more famous friends included: Gene Krupa Lionel Hampton Eric Burdon and the Animals Stan Getz Scott Muni- WABC DJ and club owner Dino Danneli from the Rascals.
