Биография
Råttanson started out as a Swedish DIY solo project recording stripped-down, guitar-driven self-penned tunes, but has eventually turned into a four-piece rock’n’roll combo fronted by Råttanson. The special sonic brew is composed of mainly garage rock and power pop, but adds elements like paisley underground, pub rock, bubblegum, punk and surf. In the 1990s, Råttanson, a.k.a. Henrik Aspeborg, was a member of the power poppers Fanscene as well as the garage-flavored act The Rawhides. The self-produced debut album, Full-scale Shakeability, released on Open Mind Records in 2017, was regarded as a mighty fine piece of work capturing the sound of the 1980s wave of garage rock, and acts like The Barracudas, The Seeds, Link Wray, Vince Taylor, The Yardbirds and The Kinks were mentioned when describing the Råttanson sound. Anders Björnlund from The Turpentines/The Hijackers was brought in as drummer for the second album “I’d Much Rather be with the Noise”, released in 2019, a funtastic noise expedition reminiscent of Flamin' Groovies, Nick Lowe and Jack Oblivian. With the additions of Alex Petrini Månsson, guitar and Christian Marosfalvi, bass, both from The Why Oh Whys, the Råttanson crew is now complete and ready for new wyld chapter. The first release as a 4-piece was the single Go Where You Feel the Most Alive (April, 2023), which was followed by Fighting the Good Fight (May, 2023). The Trebled Region EP will be released in June 2023.
