An experimental pop collective fronted by Andrew Grossman, the band has earned a reputation for pairing compelling, contemplative songwriting with colorful, raucous shows. Based in Washington DC, the band solidified their lineup in 2019 to the juggernaut it is now, featuring vocalist and loop magician Margot MacDonald, keyboardist and singer Laurel Halsey (of Bal Boheme), guitarist and electronics wizard Jon Harmon (of California Accent), bassist and electro-experimentalist Austin Blanton (of Near Northeast), and drummer extraordinaire Kirk Kubicek (of My Son Bison). Their latest record “Born at the Right Time (Exquisite Corpse)” marks a new stage of creativity and collaboration, written and recorded entirely remotely during the height of the Covid lockdowns.
