Lady Bits is a Brooklyn-based trio drawing from punk, post-punk, and riot grrrl. Originally formed by singer/guitarist Krishanti Daryanani, the band has had several incarnations with an always evolving sound. Drummer Adriana Torres joined the band after a chance meeting with Krishanti while waiting for the L train in Bushwick late one Tuesday night in 2017. Lady Bits needed a new drummer and Adriana happened to have drum sticks poking out of her tote bag. Bassist Emma Sklar joined the group in 2018 after admitting her dual love for music and sleep, bringing a jazzy bass edge and redefining the band's sound. Driven by catchy hooks, deep grooves, and type-A personalities, Lady Bits has a playful and empowering energy. Their latest single "Look Out," released December 2020, is the score to the "post-punk spaghetti western" of their dreams.
