Holy Loneliness Divine is the last record from the Joseph Parsons Band (JPB). It’s a record culminating from countless recording sessions and tours. The songs bite hard on the worlds’ march towards the future while giving ground on it’s not-so inevitable path. There are moments of great confusion followed by epiphanies and great clarity. And some age-old fun love songs to balance out the mix. It’s a humble record that gives us a deeper sense into Parsons’ writing style, themes, and visions in the last years. Some of the stories are local, some are worldly; but always relatable. A deep sense of life-lived emits from the disparate yet cohesive and hopeful tones.
