Yaniza is a Jewish, Dominican & Black (Kittitian) acoustic-pop artist from NYC! She sings in English and Spanish and usually has a huge smile on her face :) Listeners liken her vibes to that of Corinne Bailey Rae and Colbie Caillat. Yaniza initially grew her fanbase by posting covers on YouTube, catching the attention of acclaimed music blogs. Glamour included her version of Becky G's “Mayores” in a series on their YouTube channel where they show the cover to the original artist. PopSugar added Yaniza's rendition of Taylor Swift & Bon Iver's “exile” to a list of covers they deemed “equally as heartbreaking as the original.” Posting covers paved a path for Yaniza’s original songs to shine. Following two studio albums, her first single, Fly Away (Free Bird), produced by Gian Stone, quickly became a fan favorite through its uplifting message and wholesome music video. The song has amassed hundreds of thousands of streams across platforms, and a snippet on TikTok rapidly reached nearly one million views. Yaniza's dangerously catchy Spanglish bop, Contigo, with Stone & Ben Rice, was her first song to play on the radio. 2022 saw Yaniza's third studio album, New Day, with Kornel Sylwester, and pensive single, Paris, with Harper James of Eighty Ninety and Will Shish. That summer, she performed with luxury brand, Kate Spade, at their NYC Cabana events. Yaniza is currently writing more cheerful bops, performing live, and running a business teaching ukulele lessons for kids :)
