Melodically driven and carefully crafted, Halifax indie-folk trio Ostrea Lake’s music centres strongly around the soothing yet powerful vocals of lead singer Elias Abi Daoud. Their peaceful post-folk sound is filled out by mandolin, baritone ukulele, bass, and subtle percussion; weaving enchanting and vivid songs that rise and swell, sometimes rippling, often calm.
