Melodically driven and carefully crafted, Halifax indie-folk trio Ostrea Lake’s music centres strongly around the soothing yet powerful vocals of lead singer Elias Abi Daoud. Their peaceful post-folk sound is filled out by mandolin, baritone ukulele, bass, and subtle percussion; weaving enchanting and vivid songs that rise and swell, sometimes rippling, often calm. Ostrea Lake is singer-songwriter Elias Abi Daoud, multi-instrumentalist Moe Kabbara, and bassist Scott Kedy.
