9NOVA is a rising star on the scene of UK alternative rap. With a unique blend of rap, punk, and grime, 9NOVA has quickly gained a following with his unapologetic and vivacious sound. Growing up in the Borough of Haringey, North London, 9NOVA would channel the negativity of his environment through poetry. It was not until 2019 that he discovered the raw, DIY ethos of the American SoundCloud scene, where he began recording and engineering his poems at home, experimenting with various forms of rap. In 2022, 9NOVA released two projects: 'psyche.', entirely self-produced, and 'in my ego.' with the collaboration of the producer ‘killthissonny' which was met with critical acclaim and helped establish him as one of the most exciting new voices in UK alternative rap. 'in my ego.' features a mix of hard-hitting punk rap anthems such as '#RESPECTME' and other emotionally charged ballads. With his latest debut album 'left in the blue.', we see a mesmerising glimpse into the depths 9NOVA's endeavours, going above and beyond conventional boundaries by incorporating jazz into his production.
