One wouldn’t immediately think of Seattle and picture a thriving hip-hop scene, but within these last couple of years, there has been a genre shift in the city of emerging Hip-Hop acts, and Yonny is on the forefront of that movement. 
 Yonny is a 22 year old Hip-Hop/Rap artist born in Seattle, Washington. His style could be described as a blend of conscious rap, soul burning melodies, and a modern relatability that keeps the listener always guessing what a new track from the artist will sound like. Influenced by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill, JID, and even acts native to his hometown such as Foo Fighters and Nirvana. As an avid fan of good music, there was no limit to the amount of influence he found around him. 
 As skilled as Yonny has shown he is with his ability to create, the Seattle native only recently began his venture into the music world dating back to December of 2021. Since releasing his first single during August of last year, he’s been able to already capture the attention of a good amount of the hip-hop scene in the Seattle area. After dropping his debut EP the following month after, the legitimacy of Yonny’s musical talent began to take hold. With a showing of intent in everything he does, and being able to create a product that breathes new air into a city that is in dire need of musical culture, Yonny has shown there are no signs of slowing down, and that the best has yet to come.
